Delay Analysis Workshop in Construction Projects
This workshop focuses on delay analysis and claims, essential topics for any planning engineer involved in construction projects.
The challenge of this workshop lies in its detailed yet highly concentrated approach, which required significant effort to develop.
The workshop consists of six lectures:
Lecture 1: A comprehensive explanation of delay claims and their components. This session ensures you’re well-versed in the system you’ll work with during delay analysis.
Lecture 2: An introduction to the general working method for delay analysis. It also covers important tips for using Primavera software, preparing you for practical application. Additionally, a case study will be introduced for hands-on practice.
Lecture 3: Practical application of the delay analysis techniques, using a well-known method you may have heard of or already applied. We’ll also cover how to review the baseline and update according to the schedule validation protocol before starting the analysis.
Lecture 4: A full hands-on application of the Window Analysis technique. You’ll understand when and why this method is needed, and the advantages it has over previous methods.
Lecture 5: This session will cover important concepts like Payment Delay, Variation Orders, Disruption Delay, and Acceleration Claims. A case study will demonstrate how to calculate delays in one of the project milestones.
Lecture 6: An introduction to less commonly used methods, giving you a broad understanding of delay analysis concepts. We’ll also revisit the case study and apply all the techniques learned throughout the workshop. The session will conclude with an open discussion, allowing participants to ask questions and engage in further discussions.
